This is one of a number of buildings we have supplied in conjunction with a facilities managements team based in the area.
We were originally contacted with the enquiry back in February 23 and worked closely with the facilities team and an independent advisor in answering questions and working out a specification to refurbish the building to meet various parts of building regulations.
Having also produced CAD foundation drawings, it was then a waiting game to hear back from the local council.
In the meantime we had our usual busy summer flurry and filled our order book way ahead of the summer holidays.
Building control eventually accepted the panning application end July/ start of August giving us a short window to get the modular bays refurbished.
We took the job on and delivered ahead of schedule with the building being sited by the end of August, despite our busy workload. This was a great effort from all the Britcab team.
The classroom was sited in a tight area which involved a crane lifting each bay over the playground and into place in between the school chapel and garden area.
We also worked in conjunction with our customers groundworker, advising them the location and depth of foundations. Once the building was in situ, it was finished off nicely with a concrete ramp to each door.
